This is not the first time that such a comparison has taken place. However, The Weeknd himself, in an interview with GQ had refuted the comparison: no, he is not the new Michael Jackson. No matter how much he does not want, does not believe, does not want to talk about it, others do it for him. This is the case of Timbaland who compared “Dawn FM” to “Thriller”, an MJ album produced by Quincy Jones (who also appears on the Canadiens project). Remember, however, that “Thriller” is the best-selling album in the world in the history of music. If the numbers for “Dawn FM” are incredible, it’s hard to believe that it will be able to dethrone MJ’s classic. But, Timbo is not afraid of anything and it is in video that he expressed his enthusiasm.

We would be tempted to agree with those who doubt the relevance of the comparison between the two albums, even if “Dawn FM” is a very good record, it is still hard to believe that they are of the level of “Thriller”. What do you think ?
