Timothy Snyder: “You can’t leave people alone here in the hospital”

Timothy Snyder, born in 1969, teaches history at Yale University. He has written widely acclaimed books on National Socialism and Stalinism (“Bloodlands”, “Black Earth”). With his book “On Tyranny”, which was his reaction to Donald Trump’s election, Snyder has achieved a world bestseller.

His most recent book, The American Disease. Four lessons of freedom from a US hospital “(CH Beck, 12 euros) deals, among other things, with the question of why the United States failed so catastrophically in the corona crisis.
