Today is Thursday, January 5 and these are the main news of the day:
1.- A group of 337 immigrants who landed at Dry Tortugas National Park over the weekend are aboard a Coast Guard vessel headed for Key West. Meanwhile, some of the Cubans who were detained were released from the Dania Beach detention center.

2.- The sister of the woman shot to death in Miami by her ex-partner on the night of January 31, said from Nicaragua that Julio César Morales, 27, had a three-year relationship with the victim. She reportedly shot him in the back while waiting for an Uber in Allapattah. The man was arrested.
3.- Police are looking for a man caught on camera escaping after allegedly shooting and killing a man in northeast Miami. Police are also looking for potential witnesses to that crime. If you know something, you can call the Crime Stopping Hotline by dialing *8477 from your cell phone. There is a reward for information.
4.- The suspect in a robbery in South Miami was caught on camera. A security video shows him using stolen credit cards at a location near Miami International Airport. The cards are from a woman whose wallet was stolen from her car. The suspect is in his 40s and is between 5’7″ and 5’9″ tall.
5. A report reveals that more and more children are consuming marijuana gummies. These are cannabis-infused gummies, recommended to help adults sleep. 90% of cases have occurred at home. Ingestion of these products can cause children to have difficulty breathing and even death.
