While France is still hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, traders, in particular toy manufacturers, are very worried. They asked the Prime Minister to reopen on November 27, instead of the 1st December. In a printing house in Drôme, a company manufactures card games for the French market. MEven in a period of confinement, the deadlines must be met.
“This type of game – family format, note. – it is the type of game that families want to find at the foot of the tree”, summarizes Frédéric Cérène, manager at Biovia. In this company, the end of year celebrations represent almost 50% of the annual turnover. It is for this reason that it hopes for earlier deconfinement in order to be able to sell its stocks. “We are quite optimistic about the fact that our games, as soon as they are released from confinement, will sell”, judge the responsible.
