In Wreckreation, the name says it all. The newly announced arcade racing game not only lets you like in Wreckfest crash the opposing cars off the track, but also create completely new slopes. You can let your creative streak fully live out: the large open world gives you some design options that you can then share with the world. In the so-called live mix mode you can also change or add to the route, while other players are in the middle of the race. You can see what that can look like at the end of the trailer.
The development studio Three Fields Entertainment also has some experience with arcade racing games. For one, they’ve already released a few titles in the genre over the last few years with Dangerous Driving and Danger Zone 1 and 2. However, the greatest expertise certainly comes from studio founders Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry, who previously worked on the Burnout game at Criterion Games.
Wreckreation was announced at the THQ Nordic Showcase, a Release date is not yet known. We know the platforms for this: Xbox One, Series, PS4 and PS5.
