Werder extends early with coach Werner

NAfter staying in the Bundesliga, coach Ole Werner prematurely extended his contract with Werder Bremen. “With his style and his game idea, he played a major role in the fact that we managed to stay up on the penultimate match day and that we were never in a relegation zone during the season,” said managing director Frank Baumann.
Due to the relegation of the Hanseatic League, the term was automatically extended to 2024 anyway. The club did not provide any information on the expected duration of the cooperation. According to a report by the “Deichstube” portal, the contract should apply until 2026.
The 35-year-old coach took over the task in November 2021 after Markus Anfang left. A little over six months later, the ex-coach from Holstein Kiel managed to get promoted to the Bundesliga with Bremen. The club finished its first season under Werner in the first division as 13th in the table.
Real are interested in Bayern defender Davies
As the Spanish sports newspaper “Marca” reports, Real Madrid has contacted FC Bayern to negotiate a transfer from Alphonso Davies. Real would like to fill the left-back position.
