President-elect Yoon did not comment much, but the transition committee showed expectations by mentioning a dinner with President Moon Jae-in yesterday.

“I believe that the meeting will give momentum to the government’s takeover, and the government’s cooperation in the transition will work well. Now, we just have to do our best.”

At a briefing, spokesperson Kim Eun-hye said yesterday that they had confirmed the consensus on the issue of relocating the Yongsan office and the issue of the 50th supplementary budget.

Kim Ki-hyeon, floor leader of the People’s Power, also called for cooperation from the Democratic Party, saying, “It was a good time to confirm the justification of mutual cooperation and respect.”

Park Hong-geun, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, also said he was happy that the meeting was held even though it was late.

Floor leader Park also proposed the formation of a ‘election pledge promotion body’ to promote common pledges during the presidential election.

“There is no reason to postpone the common pledge in the presidential election, which the opposition and opposition parties agreed upon. With the prompt formation of a common pledge promotion body…”

However, regarding the proposals that the transition committee is pursuing, such as the repeal or reduction of the 3rd lease law, he expressed a cautious stance, saying, “We will examine the issue closely.”

In the end, we found a clue to resolving the conflict through yesterday’s meeting, but it seems impossible to rule out the possibility that the conflict will recur in working-level discussions to discuss detailed issues such as the preparation of a reserve for the relocation of the office or the 50 trillion won supplementary budget.
