Trump promises broad vaccination by the end of the year

AIn the wake of the approaching presidential elections, America’s President Donald Trump has repeatedly addressed specific forecasts to his population about a possible corona vaccine. Contrary to the statement by the director of the CDC disease centers, Trump expects the population of the United States to be vaccinated widely by the end of the year. “As soon as the FDA approves the vaccine, we will be able to distribute 100 million doses by the end of 2020 – and a large number even much sooner,” Trump said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Robert Redfield, director of the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), had previously announced that a Covid-19 vaccine would not be available to the general public until the middle of next year or a little later. Trump described Redfield as “confused”: Redfield made a mistake when he said the vaccine would not be available to everyone until the summer.
