Dhe permanent suspension of Donald Trump’s Twitter account and his temporary ban on Facebook have sparked a heated debate in the United States. “Ayatollah can tweet, but Trump cannot,” said Republican Senator Lindsey Graham in reference to Iranian revolutionary leader Ali Khamenei. “That says a lot about the people who run Twitter.”
Graham’s criticism is not unjustified. For years, the leader of the revolution in Iran has been promoting propaganda against the USA, Israel and the West in general on Twitter. Tweets in which Khamenei calls for the eradication of Israel are still accessible.
So Twitter measures internationally with two different standards. Facebook is also accused of similar things.
