During this day, the Medical College of Chile presented his analysis of health proposals of the candidates of the 2021 Presidential Elections, based on the face-to-face meetings that the award held with five of the seven flag bearers and their respective government programs.
It should be noted that the only ones who did not attend this round of talks were the candidate of the Patriotic Union (Upa), Eduardo Artés, and the People’s Party, Franco Parisi. First did not accept the invitation of the guild, while the second was not in the country for the face-to-face meeting.
Colmed’s “presidential traffic light”
With the colors of a traffic light, the Medical College presented its analysis of the “Colmed Presidential Meetings” that it carried out in recent weeks, with the aim of addressing its health programs and comparing its proposals with those of the union, in the face of the country’s health challenges.

- New way of organizing health care (SNS)
- People-Centered Health System
- Improve financial protection
- New institutions to guarantee the right to health
- Universal primary care
- Improve the timeliness of care
- New relationship of the system with its officials
- Policies to control risk factors
- Preparedness and response for this and other pandemics
The result of the analysis
According to the Medical College, those who have greater number of “green” points They are the candidate of Approve Dignity, Gabriel Boric, and the candidate of the New Social Pact, Yasna Provoste.
In the case of the deputy for Magellan, it only appears with yellow color the point about the new institutionality. This means that said proposal does not appear in the program, but it arose in the conversation with the board of directors of Colmed, headed by Dr. Izkia Siches.
