Two tornadoes confirmed in Illinois after stormy day

The Weather Service confirmed the impact of two tornadoes in Illinois after the day of storms that were experienced this Friday and that left at least four dead.

This Saturday morning, meteorological authorities confirmed the tornadoes, one in Baileyville and the other near Caledonia.

The tornado of Baileyville caused considerable damage to farmswhile destruction could be observed on their radar, detailed authorities.

Meanwhile, the tornado Caledonian area was confirmed by a trained observer. According to the report, it was a tornado accompanied by lightning.

In the second case, radar damage could also be observed, it added.

In the first batch there was the presence of strong winds and hailsome of considerable size.

The second round came with winds, precipitation and tornadoes in some areas. In addition, it had previously caused damage in the western half of Iowa, northern and central Illinois.

The Meteorological Service detailed that there were registered wind gusts between 60 and 75 miles on average; however, in some areas were higher.

In addition to considerable damage, there were reports of hundreds of flight cancellations and power outages in Chicago and nearby suburbs.
