UAEM withdraws its medical students from Edomex hospitals – Local News, Police, about Mexico and the World | The Sun of Toluca

The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) and the state authorities agreed to temporarily withdraw 200 students located in different hospitals of the entity which, according to the institution, they worked in other areas and not in the Covid-19 zone.

According to information from the highest Mexican school of studies, in a data update so far this year, it was reported that cases of infected resident doctors have already been registered with the new coronavirus; However, the number of university students who were in this situation was not specified and it was only commented that his condition was not serious.

The decision was made after what happened with a resident doctor of the UNAM attached to the General Hospital “Dr. José María Rodríguez ”of Ecatepec which died as a result of complications from the disease produced by the SARS-Cov-2 virus and who allegedly reported it to the hospital authorities.

In this sense, the UNAM also decided to withdraw the resident doctors until there are better conditions of protection and security.
