Military expert Egidijus Papečkys, in his review of the war published on the social network Facebook on Sunday evening, noted that the last day of the week at the front was quite bloody, the clashes on both sides were very intense.
According to him, the most difficult situation remains near Avdijivka, but Ukrainian reserves deployed further to the area help to maintain a stable situation.
“The bridgeheads in the Kherson region are holding up well, the Russian military command is worried about the situation here. And when the Ukrainians found a standing Russian column, they hit it very quickly and hard with artillery fire,” the military expert observed.
E. Papečkys pointed out that resistance activities in the temporarily occupied territories have greatly intensified.
In Melitopol, three “Rosgvardija” officers, who are engaged in repression of the population, were blown up, and in Russia itself, attacks on the railway infrastructure continue.
He reminded that two Western publications announced that the Nord Stream gas pipeline was blown up by 6 persons led by Ukrainian colonel Roman Chervinsky, who is currently detained in Ukraine.
“I can neither deny nor confirm it, because I have not seen any concrete evidence. It’s a confusing story, and the Russians could have provided the journalists with the data – so that the journalists didn’t even realize that they were being fooled. On the other hand, never say never with Ukrainians,” the expert assessed.
According to him, all Russian sources claim that R. Červinskis has nothing to do with this story, although it seems that the Russians should happily accept such a version.

There are no plans to break through and capture anything (except Avdijivka), but both sides will try to secure better positions and take as much damage as possible. All the more so because the mutual hatred is currently very strong,” the expert summarized.
