CCTV News on the 17th local time, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba said that Ukraine has reached an agreement with EU countries to establish alternative channels to export Ukrainian grain and agricultural products.
Kuleba said that the Ukrainian seaports are currently blocked due to the conflict, and Ukrainian grain and other agricultural exports have been severely hindered. At present, Ukraine is working with the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and other countries to restore Ukraine’s grain and other agricultural exports.
According to Ukrainian media reports, on May 12 the European Union proposed an action plan to help Ukrainian agricultural exports, called the “solidarity channel”. Under the project, some 20 million tonnes of grain will be shipped from Ukraine in less than three months using EU infrastructure.
