The government’s goal is to manage the average price of items in their 20s, which are frequently sought during Chuseok, at the level of last year’s Chuseok.

To this end, we decided to release the government stockpile as much as possible, from agricultural products such as cabbage, radish and garlic to aquatic products such as pollock and mackerel.

230,000 tons, 1.4 times the usual volume.

In addition, 65 billion won worth of discount coupons will be invested mainly in these 20 items.

It is 1.8 times larger than last year’s Chuseok supply, the largest ever.

The period is from August 15th to September 12th, and 20-30% discount is automatically applied to items with coupon applied, with a limit of 20,000 won to 40,000 won per person.

The reason that the government has already started to catch the Chuseok price is because the price of food is rising.

Due to the early heat wave and rainy season, the price of agricultural and fishery products has already risen by 7.1% last month.

“We will have to set the price of the holiday shopping cart so that people can feel it through their skin.”

In addition, the government announced that it will review measures to revive the holiday highway toll exemption, which has been suspended since Chuseok in 2020 due to COVID-19.

In addition, in consideration of the rise in food prices, the unit price of elementary, middle and high school meals for the second semester will be increased by about 9%.

We have decided to supply 42.6 trillion won in funds to small businesses and SMEs to support the demand for holiday funds.
