UNUSUAL: Ikea helps gamers choose TV cabinets with fake next-gen consoles

As the war for next-gen consoles has just begun, fans are scrambling to get their hands on the precious machines. It’s not easy, since sales can sometimes turn into drama or you have to to buy a car to get your hands on one of these platforms. However, Ikea has taken the lead and therefore wants to help the players.

Indeed, an Internet user by the name of TomaccoTastesLikeGma posted on Reddit a more or less atypical photo. According to the picture, it seems that the Swedish company has designed cardboard models of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X so that customers can position them in furniture and find the one that will occupy their living room for the next few years. The firm even allows itself a small spade against the design of the two machines since it is written on the model of the PS5: “Which IKEA media storage unit will be able to fit my new, meme-ishly oversized, game console?” “In French, it gives:” What Ikea living room furniture will be able to accommodate my new, but gigantic game console? ” There is no further information regarding the country where the said photo was taken and it would also seem that cardboard models are not yet present in French stores.

Xbox Series S is available on Amazon for € 299.99.
