Tokyo: US ready to retaliate against China The U.S. is trying to “help” neighboring Japan in the face of China’s growing strength in the South China Sea and the Pacific. The decision to strengthen the US presence in the Pacific was taken at a meeting of the two countries’ leaders at the White House on Friday. This is the first time a foreign envoy has visited the White House since President Joe Biden took office.
However, the two leaders also discussed a number of issues, including Kovid, climate change, trade, the Tokyo Olympics, North Korea, Xinjiang and Taiwan. After the summit, Japanese Prime Minister Suu Kyi said she would resist any attempt to force change in the South China Sea and the Pacific. He added that he would discuss the issue with China.
