Washington The US has reacted to North Korea’s missile tests with new sanctions. The US government announced that the measures were aimed at six North Koreans, one Russian and a Russian company. You are said to have procured North Korea components for the missile program.
Nevertheless, a diplomatic solution to the conflict is still being pursued, said a spokesman for the US State Department. According to the US Treasury Department, the penalties for six ballistic missile tests have been waived since September. North Korea has thus violated resolutions of the UN Security Council.
North Korea has shot down two rockets again in the past few days. The communist country is prohibited from testing missiles and nuclear weapons according to a UN Security Council resolution. Negotiations with the aim of persuading North Korea to renounce nuclear armaments have so far failed.
