WASHINGTON, May 27 (Archyde.com) – U.S. household sentiment fell more than expected in May, final results from the University of Michigan’s monthly survey showed on Friday.
Its confidence index fell to 58.4 from 65.2 in April, while economists and analysts polled by Archyde.com on average forecast a decline to 59.1.
The consumer judgment component of their current situation fell to 63.3 (revised) from 69.4 the previous month and the outlook component fell to 55.2 (revised) from 62.5 the previous month. (Written by Claude Chendjou, edited by Kate Entringer)
