Will the public health authorities convince enough Quebecers to be vaccinated to regain some semblance of normalcy?
The question of Quebecers’ adherence to vaccination has been on everyone’s lips for a few days, while 18 to 35 year olds will be able to make an appointment this week.
By observing the vaccination rate of older Quebecers, we see that those aged 70 and over have largely exceeded the 75% target required to achieve possible collective immunity. Among those aged 60 to 69, membership seems to have been a little weaker, but it still exceeds 80%.
What will happen to young people? The Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, does not seem to doubt the next generation: “I am confident that they will surprise us positively with very, very good vaccination rates,” he said on Thursday. The challenge is on.
