The Valencia team overturned its goal against its host Osasuna to 4-1 during the match that brought them together today, Sunday, in the fourth round of the Spanish Football League, which also witnessed the victory of Atlético Madrid over Espanyol 2-1.
Osasuna advanced with a goal scored by John Moncaiola in the eighth minute, before Valencia scored four goals through Maximiliano Gomez in the 26th minute and Osasuna’s Aridan Hernandez, an own goal, in the 50th minute, Gonzalo Guedes in the 55th minute and Omar Al-Direti in the 73rd minute.
Valencia raised its score to ten points at the top of the standings, temporarily, with a goal difference against Atletico Madrid, while Osasuna’s balance stopped at five points in ninth place.
In the second match, Atlético Madrid reversed its goal against its host Espanyol to win 2-1.
Espanyol advanced with a goal scored by Raul de Thomas in the 40th minute, and Atletico Madrid tied with a goal scored by Yannick Ferreira Carrasco in the 79th minute, before Thomas Lemar scored the winning goal for Atletico Madrid in the tenth minute of overtime.
Atlético Madrid raised its score to ten points in second place, temporarily, and Espanyol’s balance stopped at two points in sixteenth place.
