Mathieu van der Poel keeps his crown. Already crowned cyclo-cross world champion in 2015, 2019 and 2020, the Dutchman won his 4th title this Sunday, January 31 in Ostend. And, as in 2015 and 2019, he won against his Belgian rival Wout van Aert, who must be content with second place. Victim of a puncture, he was unable to catch up with Van der Poel. The Belgian Toon Aerts takes 3rd place, as in the two previous editions.
