The European food group specializing in bakery products, margarines, cooking oils, fats and sauces (€ 1.4 billion in sales in 2019), headquartered in Ghent (Belgium), announces a double appointment to strategic functions.
The Vandemmortele group, which employs 5,100 people, comes fromannounce the appointment of Yvon Guérin as CEO as of July 1, 2020. Until now, he held the position of director of the Bakery Products division within the group. He benefits from significant experience in the food sector, acquired in France and internationally, and has held several general management positions. Its objective will be to continue the development of the Vandemoortele group and to accelerate international growth. He will replace Jules Noten, who after eight years as CEO, has decided to end his operational role at Vandemoortele.

At the same time, Helena Vanhoutte was appointed Managing Director for France. Present in the Vandemoortele group for more than ten years, she held various marketing and sales positions before taking over the management of the R&D, Quality and Engineering teams at group level. For 2 years, she has also supported the company’s transformation projects in collaboration with the various markets. Its mission will be to continue the growth momentum of the France Business Unit, which is the main market for the Vandemoortele group, which achieved sales of around 1.4 billion euros last year.
