Venezuela registered 309 COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total accumulated cases of this disease to 101,524, reported this Friday 27-N the Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez.
“Today, November 27, 257 days (since the beginning) of the pandemic in Venezuela, we report that during the last 24 hours the country registered 309 new infections, 289 of community transmission and 20 imported cases,” said the minister in a message on Twitter .
The Government of Nicolás Maduro registers as “community” infections those that occur within the national territory, and as “imported” cases of people who come from other countries.
He explained that the state with the most “community” cases, on the day, was Táchira (west) with 55, followed by Yaracuy (center) with 53, while the 20 “imported” come from Colombia.

“Until today 101,524 cases have been confirmed, 96,402 people have been recovered, which represents 95% of the infections. We have 4,234 active cases, 4,208 are being treated in the public health system and 26 in private clinics,” added the Minister.
