victory for Frenchman Benoît Cosnefroy over the Bretagne Classic

The French Benoît Cosnefroy (AG2R Citroën), 25, won this Sunday the 85th Bretagne Classic in Plouay (Morbihan), an event on the WorldTour calendar, ahead of the world champion Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step) and his teammate Mikkel Honoré at the end of a 250.5 km race linking Plouay to Douarnenez (Finistère). Benoît Cosnefroy won after a breakaway more than 60km from the finish and an explosive sprint with Julian Alaphilippe. Cosnefroy is the first Frenchman to win this classic since Sylvain Chavanel in 2014.
