A small plane had to make an emergency landing on a fast-moving highway in Minnesota, crashing into a vehicle, without causing any injuries, the state transportation department reported Thursday.
The impressive video footage provided by the Minnesota Transportation Department shows the aircraft landing in a narrow space between several cars before colliding with one.
An engine failure caused the accident near Minneapolis on Wednesday night, local police said.
The two passengers of the plane, and the driver of the struck vehicle were not injured.
Craig Gifford, the pilot, identified by the American media, is a 52 year old man, very experienced in the field of aerobatics.
“Of all the planes that could have hit me, I’m glad it was him,” the woman whose car was damaged said on CBS.
The United States Aviation Agency (FAA) has opened an investigation.
