Muscat: From next year, Omani citizens will be able to travel to the UK without a visa. The facility will also be available to non-GCC nationals. The decision was announced by the UK Home Office as part of the UK Government’s move towards a fully digital frontier by the end of 2025.
This system is being prepared under the Electronic Travel Authorization Scheme to be implemented by the United Kingdom next year. In general, the UK is one of the top countries chosen by Gulf nationals for tourism. The new visa-free travel system will benefit the flow of tourists from countries including Oman to Britain.
