Switzerland began their campaign victoriously in the preliminary round of Euro 2023. In Tuzla, the team led by Mario Motta won in four sets (23-25 25-23 25-18 25-19) against the Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Switzerland knew perfectly how to digest the loss of the 1st set to take control of the meeting. Even in the absence of their captain Jovan Djokic who is injured, the Swiss showed real mastery.
Switzerland’s next opponent will be Romania, this Saturday in Schönenwerd. The Romanians beat Albania 3-0. To play the first final phase in its history, Switzerland must win its group or be among the 5 best runners-up. This preliminary round is made up of 7 groups.
