Volvo’s all-new S60 was named Sedan of the Year at the 2011 New York International Auto Show

Volvo Car Korea (www.volvocars.co.kr) announced that The All-New S60 was named ‘2011 International Sedan of the Year’ at the 2011 New York International Auto Show.

This award, which marks its 15th anniversary this year, is a world-famous international car event, and unlike other car awards, it evaluates the emotional aspect of the vehicle and draws attention. Automobile journalists from 12 countries participated in this evaluation for a fair evaluation.

The Volvo The All-New S60 was praised as a sedan that satisfies both rational aspects such as cutting-edge safety systems and dynamic driving performance and emotional aspects such as Scandinavian design. In particular, Courtney Caldwell, who oversaw this evaluation, said, “Volvo Cars’ efforts for smooth exchange with consumers’ lifestyles stand out.”

The Volvo The All-New S60 is regarded as the most dynamic and complete model in Volvo history. The world’s first ‘Pedestrian Collision-Avoidance System’, which was introduced for the first time in the world, has been recognized for its value by prestigious organizations around the world. In the Korean market, it was released on March 9, and has already attracted many consumers’ attention.

“Volvo The All-New S60 has already been recognized for its performance by winning several awards in rational vehicle evaluations such as engine, performance, and safety system,” said Chul-ho Kim, CEO of Volvo Cars Korea. We hope that it will become an opportunity to receive more love.”
