Vox denounces the non-compliance of the Board with the degree of Medicine in Huelva

Vox has denounced the new breach of the Junta de Andalucía with the creation of the medicine degree on the University of Huelva. Following recent statements by the Minister of University, Research and Innovation, Jose Carlos Gomez Villamandosin which he affirms that the degree could be a reality for the 2024-2025 academic year “in the best of cases”, the deputy of the Vox Parliamentary Group in the Andalusian Parliament for Huelva and provincial president of the formation, Rafael Segoviahas stated that “it is a lack of respect for all the people of Huelva and the Parliament of Andalusia that the PP approved a little more than a month ago an addition amendment presented by Vox to a health proposal of the Popular Group so that Huelva would have a power of Medicine for the 2023-2024 academic year, and that now fails to comply with Huelva society”.

Segovia stressed that “we must not forget that Huelva is the only Andalusian province that does not have this degree of Medicine, a grave comparative tort that puts young people from Huelva at a disadvantage.”

The addition amendment that Vox presented in Parliament and that had the favorable vote of the PP, “urges the Governing Council to initiate the necessary actions for the opening of a Faculty of Medicine in the province of Huelva, with the advice and the necessary financing, for the next academic year 2023-2024”. He has pointed out that “this is not the first commitment breached by the Government of Moreno Bonillawith the province of Huelva, postponing the solution to the problems of the people of Huelva indefinitely”. He recalled that “the Maternal-Infant Hospital or the Chare de Lepe are other outstanding promises that the PP uses as electoral resources and that later, when it can fulfilling them, as is the case, postpones time and time again”.
