Al-Marsad Newspaper: In Wadi Nabaa, located in the Jaranah region of Makkah, historical researchers found a rock on which more than one thousand and four hundred years ago two verses of poetry were inscribed.
The historical researcher “Fawzi Al-Matrafi” stated to Al-Arabiya channel that this inscription combined rock drawings and authentic Hijazi writing, as the Arabs used to write in this line during the first 200 years.
The two verses of the poet Al-Ahous
Al-Matrafi explained that these inscriptions were written 3,000 years before writing and date back to the era of the first human being.
In the same context, literary researcher Raddad Al-Hadhali added: These two verses are for the poet Al-Ahous, who lived in the first century and died at the beginning of the second century.
A girl called “Atika”
He attributed the importance of these two lines to the fact that they are considered two lines of gentle spinning poetry that were written on a rock, as if this rock speaks and conveys to us a feeling 1400 years ago. He pointed out that this text talks about a girl named “Atika” who is the poet’s lover.
