The current government’s fight against corruption has no rest, because there are still files of irregularities that persist from previous governments, assured President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

When presenting the dam management program with which floods will be prevented in Tabasco, the president acknowledged that corruption or bad practices of past governments have not been eradicated.

“We are finding files in our desk drawers that prove the corruption that prevailed before we became president. We have not finished cleaning the government of corruption yet ”, accepted the head of the Executive.

The president reiterated that the fight against improper practices committed by past administrations will not stop.

He described the corruption that invaded all areas of public life in the country as a “fatal plague” and told his opponents that this policy would persist.

“I believe that by now it is already known that we are persevering and that, rain, shine or lightning, the fourth transformation of Mexico is going to take place,” he stressed.

The chief executive visited the Ángel Albino Corzo dam, also known as “Peñitas”, on Sunday morning, where he presented a program for the management of the Grijalva River dams to prevent sudden outflows that flood the Tabasco plain.

There are currently 30,000 affected by floods in Villahermosa due to the Peñitas outlet.
