They appealed to “Health” officials to stand on their suffering and listen to their demands and complaints

The residents of “Al Yahya” in the Al-Dayer Bani Malik governorate in the Jazan region are still suffering from a lack of health services, since the establishment of the Primary Health Care Center in their villages, and they are calling for integrated health services for the center.

The suffering of the residents of “Al Yahya” lies in the lack of health services in their only center, as there is no laboratory or dental department, and the center has no ambulance, as the people are forced to transport critical cases of their patients on their own car, which lacks the lowest safety standards, and they are transported a distance Approximately 40 km, on rugged mountain roads to reach the nearest hospital, or travel outside the region.

The residents told “Previously”: “Residents in remote areas are more in need of the health services provided by the ministry than others in areas where there may be private and governmental hospitals or clinics, indicating that the villages of Al Yahya are inhabited by approximately 3,000 people, including children and the elderly from Both genders, as well as needy widows and orphans who do not have transportation, do not have the ability to treat and go to other areas, and need integrated health care.

The residents continued: “We are currently in isolated mountains, where health services are very weak, there are no specialized clinics, which forces us to leave our patients to neighboring governorates and cities, and travel tens of kilometers through hilly and rugged roads to search for treatment services, and some of us are prevented by their circumstances from traveling for treatment. There is no transportation or money.

Previously, it had published the demands of the people of Al Yahya Mountains to operate a dental clinic in their only health center, after the General Directorate of Health Affairs in Jazan Region announced the operation of 31 dental clinics in 24 health centers with the extended-work system.

Health affairs interacted at the time, and sent a mobile dental clinic that operates one day a week, but the joy did not last long, and the work of that clinic stopped six months ago, according to the people, that the mobile clinic is still present in the center, but without a medical staff.

The people renewed their demand and appeal through “Previously” to develop health services in the villages of Al Yahya, and visit them from the officials of the “Health Ministry” and find out about their suffering, and listen to their demands and complaints about the lack of health services.
