Nazi buddy? Wiese fights back

Serious allegations against ex-Werder keeper Tim Meadow (40)!

During the half-time break in Bremen’s home game against Gladbach (5: 1) a banner was spread out in the east stand with the inscription: “Anyone who hangs out with Nazis has no place in the Weser Stadium – no stage for Tim Wiese!”

Background of the banner: Photos of the ex-national goalkeeper had appeared on social media, showing him with a member of the rocker group “Radikal Kameraden Bremen”. She is assigned to the right-wing extremist scene.

After fan banner: Nazi buddy? Wiese fights back

Wiese to BILD: “I clearly distance myself from right-wing ideas. Anyone who knows me well knows that my circle of friends consists largely of people with a migration background.”

Even before Claudio Pizarro’s farewell game, there had been criticism of Wiese’s invitation and participation on social media. At the fiesta, however, the Werder legend (not in the stadium against Gladbach, by the way) was enthusiastically received by the majority of the spectators.

In 2019, Wiese was accused of surrounding himself with people from the clan environment, witnessed one in Berlin Shooting in the environment.

Wiese: “I don’t hang out with right-wing extremists. However, if the group in question is right-wing extremist, I formally distance myself from it.”
