WEY Coffee 01 plug-in hybrid SUV makes its debut in Europe at IAA Mobility

WEY Coffee 01, a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV concept from Great Wall Motors. It was officially unveiled for the first time in Europe at the Munich Motor Show or IAA Mobility 2021, focusing on performance with a maximum power of 475 horsepower.


Great Wall Motors is preparing to enter the European market with the launch of the WEY Coffee 01 Concept, one of the brand’s brands dedicated to the luxury SUV market. It states that this model is suitable for those who are looking for a premium vehicle that reflects their identity. It is powered by a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid powertrain that can drive in electric mode up to 150 kilometers without the need for engine operation at all.

WEY Coffee 01 Concept is powered by a 2.0-liter hybrid engine with a maximum power of 350 kW (about 475 horsepower), a maximum torque of 847 Newton-meters, able to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in time. About 5 seconds and a top speed of 235 km/h while the battery has a capacity of 41.8 kWh. It can drive about 150 km in electric mode according to WLTP standards.


WEY Coffee 01 also highlights its smart SUV. with the cabin being equipped with a 9.2-inch screen for displaying driving information With a 7.5-inch AR windshield information display, while a 14.6-inch touch infotainment screen, along with a separate 9-inch air-conditioning control screen, are also included.

WEY Coffee 01 also has a “Coffee Intelligence” system that can calculate the situation that may occur at each moment. Whether it’s before passengers get into the car, during driving, during traffic jams Including after parking and getting out of the car, it works through the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip for fast processing.


The WEY Coffee 01 is also equipped with surround sensors for use in various driving assistance systems. Four cameras for surround view, one high-resolution camera for autonomous driving, five electromagnetic radar and 12 ultrasonic radars.

WEY Coffee 01 will start accepting reservations from customers in Germany from the end of 2021 onwards.
