Canker sores
And aphte is a harmless lesion but can be painful. It can be located inside the cheek but also on the tongue, gums, lips. Certain factors favor the occurrence of canker sores: fatigue, the stress, a drop in immunity, certain foods (gruyere cheese, county cheese, nuts, kiwis). The pain lasts two to five days then the ulcer regresses spontaneously in one to three weeks. The canker sores are not contagious. They are extremely common: almost everyone will have one at least once in their life.
Hand-foot-mouth syndrome
Hand-foot-mouth syndrome is a viral illness that generally affects children under 10 years old. Highly contagious, the hand-foot-mouth virus is transmitted by direct contact or via objects soiled with saliva. Symptoms include fever, sore throat, loss of appetite and rash. This is characterized by blisters and ulcers in the mouth, on the tongue, on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and buttocks.
Chickenpox
The varicella is a viral disease that usually occurs in childhood. It is caused by the varicella zoster virus (VZV). Pimples occur all over the body and can also affect the tongue, although this is rarer. The pimples are very itchy.
The area
The zone is a disease that corresponds to the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus. In fact, after contamination by the varicella virus, it remains dormant in the body and can be reactivated when the person’s immunity drops. It results in clusters of vesicles on a background of pink plaques and can be localized on the tongue.

L’herpes is a viral disease. It is caused by the herpes simplex virus or HSV. This produces cutaneous lesions, at the level of the mucous membranes, most often of the lips. The tongue can be affected.
A mycosis
A mycosis is an infection caused by a fungus. In the mouth it is Candida albicans which is most often involved. This is why fungal infections of the mouth are often called candidiasis. The whole mouth is inflamed and a whitish coating is present on the tongue.
