What did the Minister of Health say about closing the country?

The Minister of Health, Firas Al-Abyad, indicated that “80 percent of Corona injuries are for unvaccinated people.”

Al-Abyad said in a press conference, “We in the Ministry of Health are fully aware of the importance of the health situation for the educational sector, and we are working to secure vaccines.”

And about closing the country, he said: “We are not talking about closing the country because we have not recorded an increase in hospitalization cases.”

The minister announced that “the readiness of hospitals has been increased by 30 percent.”

Al-Abyad also pointed out that “the National Committee to Combat Corona proposed approximating and extending the upcoming official holiday period to rest the sector, and in order to take advantage of the holiday to increase the vaccination rate, and the proposal will be discussed with the Ministry of Education.”
