The USA is a dream country for many people around the world but there are a few things you should know before visiting. If you are planning to drive your own car or rent one there, you would need to get your international drivers license which is very easy to acquire. You will need to provide your state driving license and a photo which they will use to make a copy with all the information in English.
What to Bring With You?
Besides having all the documents you need, there isn’t a lot that you can take with you to the US. For example, you won’t be able to bring food or alcohol even if you have the bill for it. Most of the things you can bring will include clothes and necessary items like a phone, laptop, and jewelry in some cases.
Jewelry should be its own topic because you won’t be able to bring a few expensive Rolex watches without some proof of ownership. Make sure you make a list of all the things you want to bring and read online what you won’t be able to take with you.
Entering the US
You will probably be overwhelmed when you enter the US, especially in locations like Miami, New York, Las Vegas, or any other popular destination. Even if there are many other beautiful places to visit, these are most popular because of the lifestyle people have there. These locations are very expensive if you plan to have some fun time partying.
If you have a license and you get your IDP, you shouldn’t have any issues when it comes to traveling throughout the city. But, it may be faster to use the subway instead. Tickets are cheap when you are flying from one state to another but you should plan that in advance because you can lose a lot of time at the airport. Make sure to always leave a tip at a restaurant or coffee shop.
