According to an American study published on January 18 in Jama Network, 76% side effects felt after a vaccine injection would be related to theeffet nocebo. Roughly speaking, this means that the majority of patients experience adverse effects because they expect them.
Stress-related symptoms
To measure the extent of this phenomenon, the researchers analyzed data from 45,000 volunteers involved in 12 clinical trials of vaccination against Covid-19. All vaccines were therefore included in the study. Some of the participants thus received one dose of vaccine while the other received a placebo. Verdict? A large number of people who received a neutral product still experienced side effects following the injection.
