Responding (in part) to demands for more transparency on vaccines, the European Commission published on Friday the contract with the pharmaceutical group AstraZeneca for its vaccine against Covid-19, the quantities of which expected in Europe have been greatly reduced, at least initially, by the manufacturer.
Confidentiality obliges, a large part of the agreement is not readable, since the company and the Commission have agreed to blacken “Sensitive business information”, according to the explanations of Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, on German radio Deutschlandfunk.
But a manipulation, unveiled by the German magazine The mirror, allows you to read certain redacted passages of the contract. By repeating the operation, using the “Bookmarks” function, which allows you to see the first sentences of a paragraph, CheckNews may have seen some hidden information.
