1 – What is the new limit?
Currently at 19 euros, the new daily ceiling will be raised to 25 euros. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it had reached 38 euros. In addition to this adjustment, the maximum amount of the meal voucher has also been increased, reveals “The Dispatch”. It is now 11.38 euros, compared to 10.76 in 2017. The 5.7% increase, however, remains well below that of inflation. Over the same period, the prices of consumer goods, measured by INSEE, exceed 10%.
2 – How to use them?
At the start of the school year, restaurant tickets can be used to pay for all food shopping. Today, it is impossible, with these vouchers, to pay for all purchases at the supermarket. Indeed, unprocessed products, breakfast cakes, pasta or rice are not “eligible”, emphasizes BFMTV. As a reminder, on the receipt, the products concerned by restaurant vouchers are indicated by the mention “TRD”.
