Both on Android phones and iOS, WhatsApp seeks to become one of the main communication applications. For this reason, during the pandemic, Meta, the company behind the development, shared several changes to calls and video calls. Users can now create calls for their work or study.
Precisely, this conference tool will make an important technological leap in the future with the use of avatars. In the same style of the Metaverse, you will be able to create your own virtual character that will attend the conferences; this way, you won’t have to expose your face.
For now, it is a fairly distant patch, but the WaBetainfo media has shared a screenshot to see what the new video calls section would look like in WhatsApp Beta.
This is what your avatar will look like on WhatsApp
“As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp will automatically create its own sticker pack based on the avatar configured within WhatsApp Settings so that you can finally share your personalized stickers that express who you are with your chats and groups.
As an additional feature, it will also be possible to use the avatar as profile picture in the future”, details the mentioned medium.
They warn, of course, that it is a tool under development. Meta has not confirmed the official release date for the avatars. In the capture we not only see the little character as a profile picture, but it will also be part of the chats.
You will be able to share unique emojis that interact with different elements such as hearts in the eyes, musical notes, broken hearts, cakes, etc.
