WhatsApp will be incompatible with forty smartphones from May 31

WhatsApp had already announced that iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C would no longer be compatible with their services in the next update. And the list of affected smartphone models is growing, reports The Parisian Friday, May 27.

As of May 31, the new version of instant messaging will become incompatible with older versions of Android and iOS.

This concerns a forty models of smartphones : Apple iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, Lenovo A820, ZTE V956, Huawei Ascend D2, Ascend G740, Ascend Mate, Faea F1, Archos 53 Platinum, HTC Desire 500, Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy S2 , Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Core, Caterpillar, Cat B15, Sony Xperia M, Wiko, Cink Five, Darknight, ТНL W8, ZTE Grand X, Quad v987, Grand Memo, Grand S Flex, LG Luсid 2, Optimus F7, Optimus L3 II Dual, Optimus F5, Optimus L5 II Dual, Optimus L3 II, Optimus L7 II Dual, Optimus L7II, Optimus F6, Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus F3, Optimus L4 II, Optimus L2 II, Optimus F3Q. Ces derniers n’auront plus la possibilité d’utiliser l’application s’ils ne mettent pas à jour leur système d’exploitation (Android ou iOs).

The update will provide new features on whatsapp : reading outside the conversation, previewing the draft and storing the reading.
