The currently applicable measures to combat the corona pandemic are fundamentally extended until March 7th. Have on it Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the heads of government of the federal states agreed on Wednesday after several hours of consultation.
The fact that the lockdown will not end for the time being, despite the falling number of infections, was justified by the federal-state group mainly with the risk that new, more contagious variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus could spread. Hairdressing salons are allowed to reopen from March 1st, Daycare and schools even earlier.

Most of the older students will probably not see the inside of their facility again until March, with the exception of final classes, for which face-to-face lessons have already been possible.
When and where which school opens again
Primary schools should be from February 22 to gradually resume operations. Like almost all other federal states, the schools in Baden-Württemberg start with alternating classes. That is, classes are divided and take turns attending school.
In Bavaria, primary school classes should start on the Monday after next (February 22) return to schools – but only in alternating classes and only in counties and urban districts with a seven-day incidence of less than 100. This was announced by Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) on Thursday after a video switch from the cabinet in Munich. In addition, after the graduating classes at grammar schools and vocational schools, the graduating classes at secondary schools and secondary schools are to receive face-to-face lessons again. However, it remains to be seen when all other pupils at secondary schools could start alternating classes again.
Berlin is planning classroom lessons for primary school students for the February 22said the Governing Mayor Michael Müller.
Brandenburg wants from the February 22 gradually reopen its primary schools.

Hessen plans to gradually expand its primary schools from February 22 to open again.
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will am February 24th start with face-to-face teaching in primary schools.
Primary school students are already in Lower Saxony since January again in so-called alternating operation.
North Rhine-Westphalia plans that elementary school students from February 22 return to face-to-face teaching.
The primary schools in Rhineland-Palatinate should be on February 22 to open again. “It is clear that the first steps must be taken with schools and day-care centers,” said Prime Minister Malu Dreyer (SPD) on Thursday in the council of elders of the state parliament in Mainz. After the federal-state consultations, the state government decided “to start with alternating classes in elementary school after Shrove Tuesday”. Then the classes should be divided into groups that study alternately at home and at school.
Primary school students in Saarland are after the holidays, from February 22, have face-to-face classes again, initially alternating with homeschooling, as in other federal states.
Saxony had already announced before the summit that its primary schools from next Monday (February 15th) to reopen in a restricted operation. For elementary school students, however, the school attendance requirement is to be lifted for the time being, announced Minister of Education Christian Piwarz (CDU) on Tuesday after the cabinet meeting in Dresden. Parents can thus decide for themselves whether to send their children to school. The regulation is to apply throughout Saxony – also for those districts in which the seven-day incidence is currently still more than 100.
Saxony-Anhalt wants to stick to its plan, the schools from 1st March to gradually open again.
Schleswig-Holstein wants from February 22 gradually open the primary schools again.
Thuringia has so far no date yet named at which teaching is to be resumed in the first schools. Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (Die Linke) emphasized on Thursday in a conversation with the radio station Antenne Thüringen: “We won’t wait until March 7th for schools and kindergartens, we won’t wait until March 3rd either.” (dpa / mf)
