Nine out of ten doctors spontaneously make the link between the use of screens and developmental difficulties in young children. This is the finding of the first Ifop barometer (1) on the perception of the impact of digital technology on 0-6 year oldsmade for the Children’s Foundation. 403 general practitioners and pediatricians were surveyed in parallel with a representative sample of 603 parents in order to compare their impressions.
Health professionals who make this link attribute these difficulties to excessive exposure time (85%) but also to viewing inappropriate content (90%). Among the disorders cited, they primarily mention behavioral problems (anger, irritability, aggressiveness, etc.) and sleep problems (84%).
