It is not the first time that the platform has been made available to citizens and for this year the application has been updated, so that it can be accessed through a PC, laptop, cell phone or Telegram. To choose their polling place, the voter must confirm their identity, by answering questions or by facial recognition, to avoid impersonations on election day.

How to choose my polling place?

José Carlos Urbina, deputy manager of Electoral Research of the ONPE, explained to this newspaper that the application allows you to choose up to three options as a voting location, in order of preference. Before starting the process, through the PC, laptop, cell phone or Telegram, the citizen must have their ID at hand and an email address. The pathways of choice are:

Who should choose their polling place?

The ONPE spokesman pointed out that the platform is aimed at all voters in Peru, aged 18 and over and from all socioeconomic levels, including voters who turn 18 on election day (October 2) and who are eligible to vote.

Can I choose a polling place in a district other than my residence?
