Never have diabetic people with Covid-19 been scrutinized with as much acuity as in the French study, called Coronado, to appear in the review Diabetologia . The results provide valuable answers on the vulnerability of these patients to the coronavirus. “We wanted to include 300 patients, we had almost 3000 (68 centers) in record time thanks to the mobilization of the diabetic community and clinical research associates”, reports Pr Samy Hadjadj, deputy head of endocrinology, diabetology, nutrition at Nantes University Hospital and chairman of the Coronado scientific committee.
