Will Nintendo Switch launch “MultiVersus”? Here’s what to know – Liku

Video games provide people with multiple ways to connect with friends online, and the growing number of free games online helps a lot. MultiVersus is a brand new online battle game from Player First Games that brings together many cartoon and live-action icons in one game. Distractify was able to get a preview of the game ahead of the July beta test, but people are already wondering if the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch.

MultiVersus is currently slated for release sometime in July 2022, and is expected to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC – but for now, it doesn’t appear that the game will make its way to Nintendo Switch’s path.

The online multiplayer game will feature a variety of characters from different Warner Bros. franchises, such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Bugs Bunny, Taz, Velma, Shaggy, and more, who will face each other in Smash-hit-style brawls.

While it looks like a game that’s perfect for the Switch and its audience, the developers haven’t announced any plans to bring the game to Nintendo’s consoles at this time. Of course, that doesn’t mean the game won’t be available on Switch in the future – there are plenty of games that didn’t launch for Switch and were added to its vast library later.

Will ‘MultiVersus’ have cross-play or cross-progress?

Thankfully, it looks like the free-to-play game will support both cross-play and cross-progress, meaning you can start a game on any console of your choice and continue on another console while playing with friends online games, no matter what console they choose.

It’s a great feature that widens the game’s audience broadly, allowing players across platforms to connect and fight with each other. Especially in free-to-play games, the ability to play with friends across consoles is increasingly coveted, often signaling a game’s greater success at launch.

To play with cross-platform friends, you may just need to make sure you’re an in-game friend, not just on your console, so you can invite them to your session.
