Al-Marsad newspaper: Lawyer Fayez Al-Enezi revealed a single case in which the abuser or intoxicant is not held criminally responsible.
In a video clip, which he shared on his account with the “Tik Tok” application, “Al-Anzi” answered a question: “If a person is an intoxicant and does an act, is he criminalized?”
The lawyer stated that he will be criminally responsible if he voluntarily uses intoxicants, drugs or narcotic substances.
And he added: If the intoxicant is given or the drug abuser is coerced or deceived, then he is not criminally responsible if he can prove that he was not aware that the substance he took was an intoxicant or a drug.
Al-Anazi explained with an example: If a person went to rest and was served juice containing a drug or intoxicant and he did not know, and then he went out and committed a criminal act, then in this case he is not criminally responsible.
