New explosive details on heart surgery by North Korea’s ruler Kim Jong-un.
German training and German medical equipment are said to have played a crucial role in the (unconfirmed) recently successful heart surgery of the young dictator.
This reports the South Korean portal “Daily NK” referring to a source reached by phone in North Korea.
Kim was operated on a few days ago in a hospital in the city of Hyang San, about 120 kilometers north of the capital Pyongyang. His father (Kim Jong-Il) had this clinic built specially and exclusively for the family after his father (Kim Il-sung) died there in 1994 because bad weather prevented the old dictator’s helicopter flight into the capital when who had just had a heart attack.
Literally, the report said, “Kim Jong-Il ordered the hospital to be built after his father’s death because he believed that a local hospital would have saved the old leader.”
According to the source, the hospital has been upgraded with high-tech, also from Germany, in recent years to save the dictator’s life in the event of an emergency.
“Daily NK” quotes his informants: “The best devices from Germany and Japan were imported and taken to the hospital. The doctors in the hospital are all the best of the best. ”As a special privilege, they would have a pass for the capital Pyongyang, even though they lived in Hyang San – the absolute exception in the communist regime.
But not only German devices saved the life of the dictator at the last moment. His heart surgeon also learned his trade in Germany, among other places.
The operating doctor had “worked in the cardiovascular department of the Kim Man Yoo Hospital for about a year before he was selected for a training program in Germany“. Afterwards he came back, lived heavily guarded in Pyongyang and even had his own bodyguards.
Kim himself is currently recovering after the operation in a rehabilitation villa near the exclusive family clinic in Hyang San. The doctors who looked after him were “all men with study experience from Germany,” the alleged source told the news portal “Daily NK”.
Expert: Kim’s absence must have “very serious reasons”
Christian Taaks is head of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in nearby Seoul in South Korea. He told BILD that much of the health information currently in circulation is speculation. BUT, says Taaks:
In addition, it is probably not the first time that Kim Jong-un has been in long-term medical treatment, emphasizes Korean expert Taaks.
“Last time, 2014, it was probably his foot. He is only 36 years old and is already frequently using a walking aid. ”Numerous observing doctors assumed that Kim Jong-us“ lifestyle and stature pose a health challenge, ”Taaks told BILD.
